In Norse mythology, Ragnarök (pronounced /ˈræɡnərɒk/; Old Norse [rɑɡnɑrøk] "final destiny of the gods") is a series of major events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Freyr, Heimdall, and the jötunn Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. Afterward, the world resurfaces anew and fertile, the surviving gods meet, and the world is repopulated by two human survivors. Ragnarök is an important event in the Norse canon, and has been the subject of scholarly discourse and theory.

Ragnarok Online (Korean: 라그나로크 온라인), often referred to as RO, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game or MMORPG created by GRAVITY Co., Ltd. based on the manhwa Ragnarok by Lee Myung-jin. It was first released in South Korea on 31 August 2001 for Microsoft Windows and has since been released in many other locales around the world. Much of the game's mythos is based on Norse mythology, but its style and settings have been influenced by a wide variety of international cultures. The game has spawned an animated series, Ragnarok the Animation, and a sequel game, Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World, is in development. Player characters interact in a 3D environment but are represented by 2D character sprites for front, back, side and diagonal facings.
VooDooRO is updated and maintained by Nopihina and Yandols. VooDooRO is frequently updated to add features similar to Rockman EXE and RNR; to the server. One of the ways to keep this up is with a GRF called sdmaps.grf created by Yandols. On the other hand, Nopihina makes sprites of monsters from EXE/RNR to the server like a Metteur.
VooDooRO is hosted in Singapore and uses the Singapore Time (GMT+8) as the server time.
