Information What is RA2 YandoMod?
RA2 YandoMod is a modification project of the game Red Alert 2, in memory of the lost RA2: SP2.

When and how did this project started?
This project started somewhat around December 2009 when I was back in my hometown, I was bored and RA2 is the only game I could play, so I got back into modding RA2 again and created RA2 YandoMod.

Whats RA2: SP2?
My old Red Alert 2 modification project, i lost every single file of it during my old computer crash.

I don't have RA2, can I play RA2: YandoMod without it?
No, this is just a mod to the game, you will need to have the original game in order to play YandoMod.

What version of RA2 is compatible with RA2: YandoMod?
RA2: YandoMod is compatible with RA2 Version 1.001 to 1.006.

Aren't you afraid of violating those copyright stuff?
EA Games allows these games to be freely modified as long as we don't alter the copyright.

Why aren't there any more updates after December 2009 ended?
Because I went back to my residence, there are many things for me to do at home unlike my hometown. I was too busy until I even forget to inform TRRC about this, as originally I wanted to release it on TRRC.

Is there a Yuri's Revenge version of RA2 YandoMod?
Yes, but its no where near to be released yet. Expect it December 2010. :P
I might start working on the YR version of this project again next week, but I still don't have a release date set for this project.

I asked a moderator on their forums whether or not RA2 can be distributed, and its a No.

wut you mean in 'RA2 YandoMod is a modification project of the game Red Alert 2' is that this is a moderated project and by downloading it enables you to play it

Thread Revival.

I have brought back this topic up, because recently I've been seeing some of my customers playing my mod lately.
And after I analyzed how it is, and how they are playing it, and also the playing environment etc...

I've decided to make an update to this (maybe).
Reason? Because I've noticed that the game is too over imbalanced.
So, in the next update, don't expect new features, I'm just making some Gameplay Balances that I couldn't stand watching.

Imbalances I've noticed and changes to be made:
- Basic power plants are giving off too much power, they will be reduced for gameplay balance.
- The "Zap Cannon" for the soviets is TOO OVERPOWERED, it will be balanced by increasing the firing cooldown time.
- Advanced power plants seem to be too cheap considering how easy it is to obtain money in this game, its cost will be increased for gameplay balance.
- The GuardRange of "Grand Cannon" for the allies is too short compared to the Soviet Zap Cannon, it will be increased for gameplay balance.
- The cost for the basic walls seem to be too cheap considering how easy it is to obtain money in this game, its cost will be increased for gameplay balance.

Bugs I've noticed:
- Allied Chrono Tower not firing through walls.
- Navz Defenders trainable without Advanced Barracks.
- The ability to build the Chrono Zyrus will be disabled due to a bug it may cause, it will then be only obtainable through a random crate.

When will it be released? I dunno, possibly in the next month. I won't place a fix date for the release because I won't be focusing too much on it.
